Position Title: Project Coordinator – Cash‐for‐Internship
Reports to: Assistant Project Officer for Cash for Work/Internship
Locations: Gaza Field Office
Job Summary:The Project Coordinator (PC) will assist in the implementation of a
subsidized internship program, working closely with local CBOs
throughout the Gaza Strip. The PC will coordinate the implementation of
project activities in Gaza, as a component of the USAID funded
Palestinian Community Assistance Program. The PC will be expected to
work closely and collaboratively with local partners, help in the
objective and fair selection of interns, assist with the management of
the database system, interact and make arrangements with businesses,
universities, and vocational schools. The PC will work closely with the
other members of the team, and will report to the Project Officer in a
timely and accurate manner.
Position Requirements and QualificationsCRS will be looking for candidates who have: 1) BA degree in business administration, marketing,
economics,engineering and other relevant areas of study. Preference will
be given to those with a Master's degree.
2) A minimum of two years experience in humanitarian/development work in
the Gaza Strip, with experience in community mobilization, organization
and mediation among local actor using participatory methods.
3)Strong language and reporting skills in both written and oral English and Arabic are essential.
4) Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5) Strong Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Excel .
6) Basic knowledge of USG‐funded programs is preferable.
7) Previous experience with INGOs is an advantage.
Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic.
